A R Rahman get 2 Oscar nominations for 127 hours

After the success of Rahman at the Global awards in the year 2010, the new year 2011 seem much more brighter for the Indian music maestro A R Rahman who got two nominations in Oscar for his splendid work in another Danny Boyle’s movie 127 hours.

As per report of the sources, Rahman has been nominated for two categories, best original score for 127 hours and for the best original song for If I Rise.

It was yesterday i.e. on Tuesday that the nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced. Among other nominations, The King’s Speech is the leading contender at this year’s academy award as the movie has fetched 12 nominations for best picture and acting honours for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.

Earlier he had bagged three nominations and won two Oscars in the 81st Academy Awards for Danny Boyle’s film Slumdog Millionaire.

Danny Boyle’s 127 hours 127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston’s remarkable adventure to save him after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah.The movie has also got nominations in the 6 categories including the nomination for best picture and a best actor nomination for James Franco.

We congratulate AR Rahman on his success and hope that he will win the show too.
