Oct 18 (FLS): Aditya Thackeray , grandson of Bal Thackeray was sworn in as the head of Yuva Sena on Sunday, which is the youth wing of Shiv Sena, by Bal Thackeray who presented the young leader a sword and welcomed the generation next of the Thackeray family.
The 21 years old juvenile leader had got himself in limelight before starting his political career by eliminating Rohinton Mistry’s Booker nominated novel ‘Such a Long Journey’ from the syllabus of the Mumbai University. As per his statement, he opposed the book because it insulted the Marathi Manoos and the Shiv Sena.
Regarding the elimination of Book from the Mumbai University, Aditya told media that criticism for his act is acceptable to him but he can’t allow the book.
Young leader also said that with most of Sena leaders above the age of 50 were ineffective in appealing the youngsters of the state and he hoped to solve this problem. He further said that Yuva Sena is an umbrella organization of youth.
Bal Thackeray, who has always criticized the dynastic politics of the Congress family said, “I don’t believe in dynastic rule. Uddhav was elected by Shiv Sainiks not me. I will never force my family members to join Sena.”
He further said that Aditya even joined the party on his own choice and hence it could not be said that he promoted his dynasty in his party.
With such a political launch of his career, Aditya is all set to take an identity that can match his grand entry.
