Sept 26 (FLS): Perturbed about the deferment of the Ayodhya verdict, Advani urged the Supreme Court to allow the Allahabad High Court to give the verdict as the litigants nationwide are awaiting the result and are all set to take the decision positively.

Addressing the journalists after the Puja that was conducted in Somnath temple on Saturday, Mr. Advani said that he was dazed why the SC deferred the verdict of Ram janmbhoomi – Babri Masjid title suit when the country was all set to receive the judgement and conducive environment was set for it.

Calling it the wait for more than 50 years, he said that he was unable to understand the deferment order by the apex court. Advani also hoped that September 28 judgement by SC would ask the High Court to pronounce the verdict in a day or two and there would be no further delay.

Earlier on Thursday a bench of justices, R V Raveendran and H L Gokhale stayed the High Court verdict a little over 24 hours before it was to be delivered, and scheduled the next hearing for September 28.

Standing tall at the temple from where he began the Rath Yatra that galvanised the Ram Mandir movement 20 years ago, L K Advani said that he has every respect for the judiciary and will accept the judgement whether it will be for or against.

The form deputy Prime minister was also accompanied by the BJP’s Gujarat in-charge Balbir Punj and former party colleague Uma Bharti. He evaded a question whether Ms. Bharti’s accompanying him indicated her return to the BJP fold.
