AICTE New Norms on BE, B.Tech Distance Education

Introducing new norms, AICTE has asked all universities to stop offering BE/B.Tech courses through distance education mode as per the directions of the Union ministry of HRD. Technical education institutions will not be allowed to offer BE/B.Tech courses through distance education mode from the ensuing academic year and but they are allowed to continue to offer MBA/MCA courses through distance mode.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has been revamped its policy for setting up new technical education institutions.

The council has also amended the admission criteria for an engineering college and management college. An engineering institute is allowed to get admission upto 300 students while a new management institute will have to maximum 120 students. This means that more students will be able to get through professional courses according to the new norms.

  Respected Sir,

  I am working as an Assistant Professor in Pharmacy for last three years properly appointed through the Staff Selection Committee.

  I work in an unaided Pharmacy institute affiliated to Mumbai University.

  According to the sixth pay scheme for recruitments for movement to the next cadre of Associate Professor do I have to appear for the Staff Selection Committee interview for my appointment or I can be directly re-designated to the post of Associate Professor in my college.

  Kindly guide.

  Dear sir,

  I am a teacher. last 7 years i am teaching to commerce’s students. i have 15 acres land for establish diploma and degree self finance college. and i also have trust. but i have no any information how to start and establish new diploma and degree college. so please sent me all information how to start new diploma and degree college in state of Gujarat.

  Respected,
  sir, i m intrested to open a Self finance degree college in UP with only proffesional course B.ed B.T.C etc. I have sufficient fund for this.but not have any guide line how to start project , norms,affiliation etc domt know pls guide me.

  My self Satyaban,M.Sc.Computer Sc. from a reputed university in regular mode.
  Whether i m eligible to be appinted as lecturer in MCA and B.Tech(Comp Sc/IT)colleges?

  I Have got 5 yers experience in teaching to B.Sc.Computer Sc and MCA students.Right now I m persuing M.Tech in Computer Sc.After completion of my M.Tech whether I shall be eligible to be appointed as a lecturer/Assistant professor in an engineering college for B.Tech(CS/IT),M.Tech(CS/IT),MCA like courses?
  In the AICTE web site nowhere it is mentioned regarding the eligibility for faculty positions.

  Please guide me.

  sir i have qualified GATE 2009 . i am registered in Ph.D. Biotechnogy full time in December 2009.

  sir i have completed MBA(Finance) in 2008 and working as lecturer in one of the reputed college in nellore and my complaint to they have not given any appointment letter when i have joined and now i want to relieve my job due to better job i got but the management is making harassment that “WE WONT GIVE YOUR CERTIFICATES OF ORIGINAL “YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT

  I have completed Diploma IT enggi in 2004 with 66.40%
  I want to do job as a faculty in engineering college but B.E(IT) only 52% please tell me what can i do for get a job in engineering
