Dec 14 (FLS): Walking in the shoes of Common Admission Test (CAT), All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Exam (AIEEE) announced to go for online test format. After successful conclusion of online CAT exam, AIEEE has decided to get rid of regular pencil paper test format and to go for more efficient and techie, online test format.
As per report of source, the first online test of AIEEE is scheduled to be organized from May 1-15, 2011. This will be the 10th AIEEE exam, since it was begun organized back in 2001 and the first online format after nine successful pencil paper formats.
The report further informed that Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the organizing board of AIEEE, would allow only a limited number of examinees to appear in the online test. The report further added that the online test would be held in only 20 cities and about 5000 students would be appearing per city on the basis of first come first served while the rest aspirants would appear in the pencil paper format scheduled on May 1, 2011.
Priya G, an aspiring engineer said to the media persons that, they were excited about the news and she had decided to apply for the online test format.
Nitin Shulka another aspiring said that the online format should have been allowed to all the aspirants. He further added that he would prefer online format.
The online exam format just requires a basic knowledge of computer, like handling operating system.
