Recently a new model engine is designed by two Indian Scientists who idealized the concept of combustion of the motorcycle engine with compressed air cylinder which is considered as a replacement for the traditional internal combustion engines.
The scientists’ new design is described clearly in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy where it details the fact that the engine consumes compressed air to convert a small air turbine so as to push up enough power to run a motorcycle for upto 40 minutes.
This new means of technology will be very helpful to those areas where majority of vehicles run are motorcycles, to reduce the emissions with less intensity when widely implemented into force.
Bharat Raj Singh, author and a researcher at the SMS Institute of Technology in Lucknow, said that “some 50 to 60 percent of present emissions in some areas could be reduced with the new technology, though a number of technical challenges remain”.
