With barely two months left in the commencement of Commonwealth games 2010 in New Delhi the preparation level continues to follow its tortoise pace amidst controversies of wide scale corruption by the organizing committee, missed deadlines and substandard construction by the project in charge as claimed by the CVC.

Aiyar, who was criticized for his imprudent statement of his desire of the failure of Commonwealth Games 2010 broke his silence after watching the game of hide and seek by the officials and no one admitting their mistake. He demanded the government to establish a high level apex committee which will take care of all the agencies including the organizing committee to ensure that a clean and successful event is held.

The allegations over the Organizing committee is the hot topic in the ongoing session of the Parliament with the opposition party demanding a probe in the scam and resignation of the president of Indian Olympic Committee, Suresh kalmadi  over alleged financial irregularities.

Earlier, Central Vigilance Commission reported that higher rates were given for the bids, which then compromised projects with poor site management, delays and poor quality.

A close aide of Suresh kalmadi, deputy director general of the OC T S Darbari was demanded the expulsion from the organizing Committee seeing his past unclean records.

When Aiyar was asked that whether he wanted Kalmadi to resign he said that he has presented his opinion and now it depended upon government who is supposed to take a serious initiative. He further said that the members of the apex committee should consists of active members from different ministry.
