Anti-Terrorist squad (ATS) of Rajasthan Police got a major breakthrough in Ajmer blast case as they successfully traced the car used for carrying the explosives for the Ajmer bomb blast in 2007 that had killed three people and injured more than 30.

As per report of the sources, the black coloured Hyundai Santro was traced from Madhya Pradesh few days back. The car used for the incident has an MP registration number: MP 43 0903.

An official of Rajasthan Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) told IANS Saturday that the explosives were taken in this car from Indore to Godhra in Gujarat and then to Ajmer in Rajasthan. However, the exact location where the car was traced has not been disclosed by ATS.

Calling it the major breakthrough in the case the ATS team is expecting to reach to the bottom of the case soon. In addition to the above mentioned success, ATS squad also identified five more suspects wanted in the case. ‘We have identified that five men – Bhavesh, Divesh, Sunny, Mukesh and Mehul. We have been on their trail for long,’ the official added.

During the investigation, ATS has so far arrested four for the blast in the Dargah of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti. Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar has already been investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his alleged role in Ajmer blast of 2007.

The ATS has already filed a charge sheet in the blast case in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ajmer.
