Another FIR on Face Book, this time for religious issue

This is the second FIR on Face Book as the people of Uttar Pradesh have gone against the social networking site for the second time claiming that Face book is causing communal disharmony and riots through its instigating communal passions and denigrating Indian Gods.

As per report of the sources, an FIR was filed in the city of Meerut by a social activist who alleged that the Face book profile where the photograph of a person who created the account is supposed to be placed, a picture of Hindu deities have been placed with the title ‘Three Idiots’.

Moreover, the person who has created this profile has also warned that this type of disrespect will continue if the profiles insulting and abusing Islam were not removed from Face book. In response to this, the people who visited this profile created similar profiles and wrote anti-Islam comments.

Social activist, Nutan Thakur, told that this profile is an attempt of third party to poke fun at both Islam and Hindus and bring the two religions on an online war between the two religions.

Earlier, Thakur had launched FIR against the Face book profile ‘We hate Gandhi’ after which the profile was blocked. The FIR cites section 66 A of the Information Technology Act 2000, and expresses fears about the profile causing riots all over India.
