On the 18th anniversary of Babri anniversary, parts in Hyderabad have been called for shutdown by Muslim organizations to mark the day of demolition of Babri Masjid as the sad moment. As per report of the sources, shops, markets, schools and business establishments remained closed in the Muslim majority areas.
The various Muslim political and religious organizations including Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), Tameer-e-Millat have called for shutdown demanding the reconstruction of demolished mosque at its site.
Sources have reported that they appealed to Muslims and other peace-loving and secular citizens to observe a peaceful shutdown. Religious leaders advised Muslims to offer special prayers for restoration of the mosque.
In order to avoid any untoward incident, security has been tightened and police have banned the assembly of five or more people till Tuesday. It also denied permission to some organisations to hold meetings, rallies and processions.
Especially around the places of worship paramilitary forces have been deployed and even barricades have been erected for checking vehicles and frisking people at several places.
Not only in Hyderabad, government has beefed up security all over the country especially in the twin cities of Ayodhya, Faizabad and other parts of Uttar Pradesh. Sources have also reported that security has also been tightened in other states as Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Taking the chances at the situation, even Maoists in Bhubaneswar have called for December 6 to be observed as Black Day. They are demanding that the Babri Masjid be rebuilt and those who demolished it be punished severely.Share
