A 16 years old girl committed suicide because her parents denied her to admit in a college of her choice in Bangalore on Tuesday evening. The girl named M Yashaswini had passed her SSLC with good marks. She had secured distinction also. She insisted her parents to admit her in Jyoti Nivas College at Koramangala as many of her friends took admission in the same college.

However, her financially weak parents showed their displeasure against the same. Yashaswani’s father, Manjunath used to work as a chef in a small hotel. Her mother was employee of a small garment factory. So they insisted her to take admission in Adugodi Government College, Bangalore.

Also on the day she committed suicide, she was scolded by her mother for talking to her friend over phone in an STD booth for a long time. Her mother also told her that she will teach her a lesson after returning from her job.

Young Yashaswini however did not give her mother a chance. She consumed poison on Tuesday evening. Her brother saw her and immediately took her to the nearby Bowring hospital with help of their neighbours.

The doctors tried to save the girl but finally she succumbed to death at around 2 am in the morning.

M Yashaswini was the only daughter of her parents.
