The Bharatiya Janata Party offended by the decision of Karnataka Governor H R Bhardwaj demanded his recall today. As per report of the sources, senior BJP leaders including L K Advani met President Pratibha Patil today and put forward their demand of recalling the governor of Karnataka for his act of sanctioning prosecution of B S Yeddyurappa.

Sources have reported that the delegation led by Advani comprised of 23 Karnataka MPs and they handed over a memorandum to President Patil in which they complained about the opposing behaviour by Bhardwaj towards the state government and demanded his recall in order to restore constitutional order in the state.

Mr. Advani while talking to media told that they have appealed President to consider their grievances and recall governor Bhardwaj who was showing extra-constitutional and confrontationist attitude.

However, Yeddyurappa said in Bangalore that the legal battle is already on in the land scam case in which Bhardwaj has sanctioned the Chief Minister’s prosecution. He also said that he will share the dais with the governor on Republic day and the legal battle will be on.

The step of BJP to meet the President of the country was taken when the tension between Mr. Bhardwaj and Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa heightened after the Governor sanctioned that an FIR be registered against the BJP leader in a corruption case.

Meanwhile, three more complaints were filed against Yeddyurappa and others in connection with alleged land scam cases on Sunday.
