BSP MLA rape act stirs Congress against Mayawati

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh saw a tough moment today as the congress of the state today asked her to get one of her MLA arrested who was involved in the rape of a girl belonging to backward class and falsely implicating her in the theft case.

As per report of the sources, BSP MLA Purushottam Narain Dwivedi along with his associates allegedly raped a girl who was later lodged in the jail on the charges of stealing the legislator’s licensed pistol and Rs 5000.

Congress state president Rita Bahuguna while addressing media told that in an attempt to save the ruling party MLA, the local police had framed the 17 year old juvenile girl and sent her to jail. Where she was barred from meeting anyone.

However, the girl alleges that when she threatened to expose the deeds of the BSP MLA, he used his influence to get her implicated in a false theft case and leading to her arrest and subsequent imprisonment.

She further told that she was badly beaten by the MLA’s goons when she threatened to expose his deeds. He also said that she would rot in the jail if she exposed him.

She alleged that gram pradhan of Banda had also threatened her father with dire consequences.

With all these going on, Congress state president has demanded from the Chief Minister to lodge an FIR on application of girl’s father against MLAs and others, constitute a medical board for examination of the girl and order a high level judicial probe into the matter.
