Contrary to the last year, CAT 2010 online test Day 1 reportedly went on without any issue on Wednesday. According to a report, 4548 candidates took the online test on the opening day and the test went on smoothly in all the centres.
The CAT online test made its debut last year with US based Prometric being the organiser. The online tests, then, faced many problems, including server load issues. According to the managing director of Prometric India, Mr. Soumitra Roy, the problems were basically due to un-licenced operating systems and out-dated anti-virus software being used by the test center computers. He also said that steps to avoid the same this year has already been taken up in the all the test centres, including hardware upgrades for some of the 9,000 computers used for the online test.
As per the report, 2,04,267 candidates are appearing in the online test for CAT 2010.
The online test will run till November 24, 2010 and the results for the CAT online test is expected to be available on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
