There have been a total of eight candidates across the country who hit the bull’s eye in one of the toughest management exam of the country by securing 100 percentile. However, as per norms of CAT convener, their name cannot be made public.
As per report of reliable sources, all the eight students who scored 100 percentile are from engineering background and are male. In addition to that it was also revealed that 19 candidates scored 99.99 percentile, missing the cent percentile mark just by a whisker.
While talking to media, official organizer of CAT-2010 said that they cannot provide the names of the candidates who have figured in the top list as it was against their norms of privacy policy. Himanshu Rai, the convener of CAT 2010 further added that even students also cannot speak to media divulging their identity and background.
It was also told that all the candidates who appeared for CAT-2010 had signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement at the time of the test. As per accord, disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of the contents of CAT exam is punishable.
It was further told that overall students had performed well but not yet cracking result.
The successful CAT candidates jostle for about 3,000 seats at 11 IIMs located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore, Lucknow, Kozhikode, Shillong, Ranchi, Rohtak, Raipur and Trichy. CAT-2010 was conducted in 33 cities of the country.
CAT 2010 was conducted between October 27 and November 224 last year with the collaboration of IIMs along with their US-based partner, Prometric India, who conducted the exam online for second time in the year 2010.
