CBI requests for the transfer of Sohrabuddin case out of Gujarat

With the conclusion of three days interrogation of Amit Shah in jail, CBI has filed a status report to the Supreme court on the six month long probe on Sohrabuddin’s fake encounter casein the year 2005. Along with this report CBI has requested the Supreme court to transfer the case out of Gujarat as they have apprehensions that alleged have strong hold on the senior politicians and police officers who could act as an hindrance in crystal clear investigation by CBI.

“A conducive atmosphere is required for conducting investigation or prosecution. It’s hard to get such atmosphere over here”, said a CBI official.

CBI has got the feeling that amongst the political leaders not only Amit Shah is involved but on further investigation more big names may come into picture. In its report submitted earlier today, CBI has sought permission to Supreme Court to look into the further involvement of political brass in this malicious act. The documents withheld from Shah may bring tough times for political maestros.

Today CBI has also filed charge sheet in the killing of Tulsiram Prajapati in a staged shootout on December 2008 in the court .He was the sole eyewitness who claimed to see Sohrabuddin and his wife’s kidnap from Bus. His prophecy about his life at stake came true when he was killed by Gujarat police just a few days before the then investigating officer, Geeta Johri, had decided to examine him as a ‘witness to the kidnapping’.

CBI said that all arrested related to the case will be quizzed and their statements will definitely shed light on the role of ‘Political leadership’ beyond Shah even.
