The first warm up match of the World Cup 2011 of the two fancied teams, India and Australia played today at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore saw cold performance of Indian batsmen as the locals lost their 8 wickets under 150 runs.
Despite of the steady start, the home team kept losing wickets at regular wickets and except Virender Sehwag none contributed with bat.
Earlier today, India won the toss and decided to bat first. Gautam Gambhir and Sehwag after long months came together on pitch but could not stay longer as Gambhir departed early. Virat Kohli and Sehwag shared 42 runs for the 2nd wicket until Hastings got him trapped.
Right from then, India kept losing wickets at regular interval. Yuvraj, Raina and Dhoni departed cheaply and left India toiling at 132 for 6.
Sehwag, though, showed some resistance and went after Aussies bowler, his inning was brought to an end by Krejza when he was on 54.
After Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Piyush Chawla went back to pavilion in quick succession and made scoreboard read a devastating total of 138 for 8.
As per latest report, Yusuf Pathan and R Ashwin are playing on the pitch and India has crawled to score of 160 for 8.
Brett Lee was the major destructor from Australian side as he took 3 important wickets cheaply followed by Hastings getting two in his kitty.
Expecting to have some loud innings from Pathan.
