Despite of listening to the news of allegations of corruption and poor preparation of Common wealth Games 2010 venues, International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge on Tuesday confidently predicted the success of the game and was firm in his view that India will shine with this game.

After listening to the positive comments of the IOC president it makes our heart feel better but we can’t disguise ourselves to what we see. The situation is getting grave with the passage of time which could be easily made from the reaction of Prime Minister after his reviews of the venues just a few days back.

Things were so pathetic that the PM had to frame a supervising Committee that would monitor progress and ensure contractors with the fresh deadlines.

Rogge criticized the Indian media as pessimistic and blamed it for all negative mindset that the players are getting for the upcoming gaming event. He said that he was optimistic in spite of everything written by Pessimist Indian media for the CWG. He also told that India will discover its capacity to involve in such mega events with this game.

Earlier this month, two top-brass of the Organizing Committee were kicked out for their alleged involvement in the corruption scam related to the Queen’s Baton Relay ceremony held in London last year. Even the President of Organizing Committee has been brought into allegations and the opposition and other parties even demanded his resignation but he resisted from resigning and assured of not being involved in any scams.

With many infrastructural projects lagging behind the schedule, Indian capital is in a race against time to be ready to host the October mega event.
