It seems that CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) is determined to bring one of the India’s match to Eden Garden as the latest news is that it is looking forward to hold talk with International Cricket Council for the shifting of the India-Ireland match which is scheduled to take place on 6th of March 2011 in Bengaluru to fix the loss of India England match.
As per report of the sources, CAB President Jagmohan Dalmiya is expected to make request for shifting of the match through the Board of Cricket Control in India within the next couple of days.
A ray of hope came in the eyes of the AB members when after inspection of the ground Eden Gardens on Monday by the three-member inspection team (Campbell Jamieson, Chris Tetley and Prof. Eugene van Vuuren), the games in question that included South Africa versus Ireland on March 15, The Netherlands-Ireland on March 18 and Zimbabwe versus Kenya on March 20 got thumbs up.
Moreover, ICC chief executive officer Haroon Lorgat described the chances of Eden Gardens hosting the three other World Cup matches as very good triggered the feelings of bringing India-Ireland match in Kolkata.
Not happy with the progress of renovation work at the Eden Gardens, ICC had ruled out the venue for the India vs. England match scheduled for February 27, and the tie was shifted to Bangalore.
Let’s wait and watch whether Eden Gardens has got India’s match or not.

i think that final match of the world cup should be shifted from wankhede to eden garden.As it has more capacity of seats i would get oppurtunity to see the final.
