Sept 27 (FLS): Salman Khan has rocked the Box-office with his mesmerising acting in the movie Dabangg and he definitely brought party time for his brother’s production. Grossers have reported that the movie has earned Rs 116 crores in two week tenure breaking all records of Bollywood.

The movie saw no competition in the second week and enjoyed another massive outing at the box office. The movie did not limit itself to break the opening record of Aamir Khan’s 3 idiots but it left behind Aamir’s another record making film Ghajini which had grossed a total of 115 crores in a tenure of 7-8 weeks .However, the action entertainer Dabangg has surpassed this figure in two weeks only with 116 crores coming in.

The movie in its first week broke all set records of Bollywood by grossing a total of 81 crores and the second week collected over 35 crores all across the country.

With this success of the movie, the film has now entered the hallowed portals of the Bollywood box office greats as the seventeenth highest grossing film of all times. The movie has shared space in the list of all time hit movies like Mother India, Mughal-e-azam, Sholay, DDLJ, Ghajini, 3 Idiots etc.

The reason why the movie mesmerized the viewers varied. Some say star charisma of Salman Khan, who has managed to carry off the over-the-top articulation of Chulbul Pandey with some comic allured fans. However, film producer Arbaaz Khan said that it was the clear idea movie with comic book flavour that worked as stress buster for the people.

Whatever may be the reason, Salman was really in his new ‘Avatar’ and his fans were definitely mesmerized by his ‘chulbul’ acting.
