Dell phones leaked: flash, thunder, smoke and aero

Some days ago, some information on the new android powered smart phones from Dell was leaked. There were four phones in this series and they are called Dell Thunder, Dell Smoke, Dell Flash and Dell Aero (an upgraded version of Dell pervious Mini 3i). Dell have not officially announce its release and pricing dates but it is believed that it is most likely to be release within 2010 or early 2011.

So here’s a quick look at these new Dell phones.
Dell Flash: Dell Flash runs on Anaroid Froyo Operating System with Stage UI and Qualcomm MSM7230, 800MHz processor with 512MB ROM as well as 512MB RAM. The design of the phone is very impressive; it is 11mm thick “curved glass”. 3.5 inch WVGA TFT with 262K colour, 24 bit display, with a resolution of 240 X 320 pixels and it’s a touch phone. Phone is equipped with 5 mega pixel AF camera with LED flash. Camera is function features Image Stabilization, 8X continuous zoom, Smile/Blink detection and video recording. The phone supports Wi-Fi with DLNA, 3.0 Bluetooth and USB. It can play video of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, WMV. MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+, eAAC, AMR and MIDI sound files can be played. It supports microSD memory card expandable upto 64GB as external memory. Flash is very good for mobile internet, it has Web 2.0 full HTML, WAP and Flash 10 support. The phone will support GPRS Class 10, EDGE Class 10, HSDPA 14.4Mbps and HSUPA 5.76 and it is 3G phones. Other features of the phone include video editing functionally, one touch push record video to favourite site or home library via Wi-Fi, 3.5 handsfree with HD TV out, Microsoft Exchange, Native IM, Predictive text, Handwriting Recognition, GMS HW Complaint, E-Compass, Accelerometer and Proximity Sensor.

Dell Thunder: Dell Thunder is also runs on Android 2.1. With 4.1 inch OLED WVGA 800 X 480 pixels touch screen display. The phone has 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus. It supports 3G. Thunder has features like Swype, a virtual keyboard, Active sync capabilities, Flash 10 support and Hulu applications. There is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connection. 7.2Mbps HDSPA. The phone supports ultimate experience for streaming videos at internet by Hulu app. Dell Flash is all set for social site surfing like Facebook and Twitter.

Dell Smoke: Dell Smoke is a business class phone runs on Android Froyo with QWERTY keypad. Smoke has 2.8 inch QVGA 18-bit display, Qualcomm MSM7230, 800MHz processor. The handset has Class 10 GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA 5.76. 5MP camera with feature of auto focus, Digital zoom and video recording.  It can play, capture and stream video of H.264/MPEG-4 quality. MP3, WMA v9, ACC, ACC+, eACC+, MIDI, WAV audio files can be play. There is 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and USB support and microSD expandable memory support. Other features of Dell Smoke include Touch Pad Navigation, Digital Compass, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Voice command/dial, Organiser, Fluence (2 Microphones) and Document viewer/ editor (Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint).
Dell Aero: Dell Aero is upgraded version of Dell’s Mini 3i. It comes with 624MHz Marvell processor and touch screen that can be used with a stylus for handwriting recognition. Aero has a 3.5-inch Touch screen LCD with nHD 340X60 pixel 18 bit 252K colours resolution. Aero has 5MpP camera with auto focus, flash, 8X digital zoom and video CIF @ 30fps. Connectivity of the phone is filled with USB 2.0 HS, Class 2.0 EDR w/A2DP Bluetooth, HAP, AVRCP and Wi-Fi.Video playback of WMV, H263, H264, MPEG-4. WMA, MP3, ACC, ACC+, eAAC+ audio files playable. Removable memory of microSD up to 32GB. GPS/A-GPS, Quick Office Document Viewer and Editor, Photo and Video editor, Webmail, Microsoft Active Sync, 3.5mm hands free socket with TV out and multi-touch are some features of Dell Aero.

Not only Android phones, there are also Dell phones that runs at Windows 7, these phones are called Dell Lightning. The phones run on Operating System of Windows 7. The phone will be speedy enough to runs applications and multitasking with the processor of QSD 8350, 1GHz Snapdragon CPU. Lightning is a slider phone with QWERTY keypad. With 4.1-inch WVGA Samsung OLED display. Connectivity of Wi-Fi, 2.1 EDR Bluetooth and 2.0 USB. Camera of 5MP AF and H.263/H.264, 3GP, MPEG-4, WMV, DivX video and MP3, WMA, ACC, ACC+, eACC+, AMR and Midi audio playable. It has 1GB Flash ROM with 512MB DDR SDRAM and external memory expandable up to 8GB on microSD card. Other features the phone are G-sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, FM radio, GPS, micro USB I/O and IE browser.
