One of the favorite dance reality show of the country ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID) has got its new doubles winner of the year 2011- Amit Malvankar and Falon Netto in the Grand Finale organized on April 9 evening after four months of rigorous practice and fierce competition.
The winner of doubles Amit and Falon both have been born and brought up in Mumbai and they are contemporary dancers. Both the dancers were overwhelmed after listening the result as they beat their closest rivals -Vivek Jaiswal, Cornell Rodrigues-Sonali Kar and Vikram Gill-Niharika Soni to walk away with the trophy in the grand finale. They have been rewarded with Tato Nano for their performance.
While speaking on the dais after winning the title, Falon said that it was an awesome experience which she will never forget in her life. She also told that all through the fierce competition she was focused and optimistic about winning the title as they had the chance to run away with it.
Amit also expressed his sincere thanks to his well wishers and judges who had been very supportive throughout the event. He also reiterated the fact that it was great journey from being a background dancer to becoming a dancing star.
The dancing couple called themselves lucky as they got training by ace choreographer Shiamak Davar, whom they call the reason for their win.
Other than winners, the grand finale saw lively performances from the judges with their respective teams. The highlight of the show was the performance of grandmaster Mithun Chakroborty along with host Shveta Salve and Geeta Kapur.Share
