Folks, It is really heartbreaking to know that the Delhi Daredevils player Dilshan has betrayed his captain Sehwag in the third ODI played between India and Sri Lanka on 16th of this month as sources have revealed that it was Dilshan only who instructed Randiv to throw a no ball in order to deny century to Sehwag.
Tilekaratne Dilshan has been alleged for this controversial act, which has been condemned by almost all the person associated with cricket as it has hurt the spirit of the game.
Sri Lankan cricket Board embarrassed by this abashing act of its player as ordered an internal probe into the no ball controversy. The enquiry probe earlier went through the microphone recording of the sounds on the pitch and claimed that Sangakkara had spoken in Sinhalese ‘If he hits the ball, he gets the run’. This statement of his has also brought him under scanner.
According to the newspaper, Dilshan, who was fielding at cover point, shouted in Sinhalese ‘oney nam, no-ball ekak danna puluwan’ (if you want, you can bowl a no-ball). However, none of the Sri Lankan players reacted to Dilshan’s advice.
Earlier on Monday, the controversy arose on the last ball played by the Indian team when Both India and Sehwag needed a run to win the match and complete his century respectively. However, the ball given by Randiv was no ball and despite of hitting a six on that ball Sehwag was denied his century as per rules.
Despite of thrashing Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in the third ODI of the tri-series, both Sehwag and the Indian side were sad and disappointed.
However, with the apology sought by the Sri Lankan team every thing seems cool and back to normal.
