Vinod Gupta CEO resigns (Vinod Gupta Chairman Infogroup Latest News): Vinod Gupta, an NRI who is also the founder of Omaha based company called Infogroup has resigned from the company’s board of directors. He was also serving as the Chairman of Infogroup.
Vinod gupta was removed from the post of chairman of Infogroup by the board of directors in 2008 for excessive spending. He has supposedly around $9 million on personal luxuries like planes, houses, a yacht and a Memorial Stadium skybox. Since this money belongs to the company, after he resigned, the company is planning or a sale of these items.
InfoGROUP was founded in 1972 by Vinod Gupta. The headquarters are located in Omaha, NE, USA. The company employs over 5,000 people in 88 offices worldwide. InfoGROUP has over 4 million customers worldwide and revenues in 2006 were over $700 million.
Right now, private-equity firm CCMP Capital Advisors LLC will acquire Infogroup for $635 million, or $460 million in cash in addition to assumption of the company’s debt. Vinod Gupta, who owns more than a third of the share of Infogroup has agreed to support the deal.

Indian Toddler Death in Australia Update (Indian charged in latest news): A 23-year-old Indian man has been charged with the dead of the Indian Toddler in Melbourne, Australia a few days ago.
The name of the Indian man is Dhillon Gursewak and he is appearing in an out-of-sessions hearing at St Kilda Road Police complex, local media reports said.
As per reports, Dhillon Gursewak used to live for a short while with three-year-old Gurshan Singh Channa who was with his parents in a house in David Street, Lalor. They were not however related.
“Gursewak is not expected to apply for bail” reports said.

Bank of Rajasthan Special Audit on Fraud (BoR Case Update News): After SEBI said Bank of Rajasthan is engaged in Fraud, BoR shares dropped by 12% on BSE. A special audit has now been ordered by RBI on this matter.
As per reports, RBI or the Reserve Bank of India has ordered a special audit of the accounts of Bank of Rajasthan following the SEBI statement that the “bank’s promoters have fraudulently hiked their stake in the entity”. As per reports by Sify on the Bank of Rajasthan case, share prices of BoR has dropped by 12.28% to a low of 58.60 on BSE.
A week ago, BoR made news after RBI imposed a Rs 25-lakh fine on the bank following a string of violations. Many transactions of the Bank in property, anti-money laundering, etc. had been pulled up by RBI as “suspicious” at that time. Following this and the new RBI-SEBI case, the RBI has felt the need of a special audit on the Bank.

On Thursday, in the lead of PM Manmohan Singh, this decision was taken at a cabinet meeting. This proposal of Labor and Employment Ministry has been given approval. CCEA has taken decision to open the 137 General Nursing and midwife school to remove the scarcity of nurses and midwives. These schools will be made in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Orissa, Himachal Pradesh and others. The amount of 1370 crores will be spent on this planning.
For the Gratuity calculation the gratuity calculation formula is
1. basic/26 x 15 days x number of years of service
OR
2. BASIC + DA (Last Pay drawn) X 15 /26 X No. OF YEARS WORKS
Gratuity is to be paid to any employee only he provides service for a minimum time of five years at a stretch with his employer in company. The Gratuity calculation is done as per the last average remuneration drawn and time in years served by an employee.
