Samsung 3D TV Price Picture Photo details (Samsung 3D TV Features): Samsung has announced their next big product, a Samsung 3D TV with 3D glasses at a price tag of $2350 (Amazon) for a 46″ model.
The 46″ model that was referred to above is called Samsung UNC7000 series. There is another series coming up called the UNC8000 series which comes with ‘precision dimming’, one of the most intriguing new models detailed by Samsung so far. The new series come in 55″ 3D TV models and will be sold at around $3000 at Amazon. There is also a 40″ model in this series which will come for about $1800.
The new 3D TV not only comes with 3D glasses, but the whole system will require you to have a compatible Blu-ray player too.
The good news is that LG, Sony and Vizio are also going to come up with their own 3D TVs. So the market price for these products may come down drastically due to competition.
So, next time when your next door neighboor says “We went for 3D”, you can reply “We live in 3D!”

BSNL EVDO Data Card Review: BSNL EDVO Tariff Plans Network Quality
BSNL EVDO Data Card Review (BSNL EDVO Tariff Plans and Network Quality): Here is my personal review on the BSNL EVDO Internet Data Card on the network quality and internet speed.
I took the BSNL EVDO some 6 months back in Bangalore from the BSNL office at National Games Village, Koramangala as there was some offer going on at that time. The device which normally cost Rs.3500 was being offered for just Rs.2000 with a monthly rental of Rs.750 for the unlimited full speed of 2.4Mbps.
I took the EVDO card because many people on the internet have suggested the same and some of these people were getting up to 2Mbps speed. I thought that was hell of a speed for just Rs.750. But then, when I started using the card in JP Nagar, I started receiving half the network and a maximum speed of some 2-5kb/sec download and browsing speed. That was approx 40kbps!
Later I realized that BSNL EVDO card internet speed is completely dependent on the network coverage and quality. I do believe that some people have got the real speed, but in my case the speed was just awful.
So, bottom line, test the speed in your area before actually buying the BSNL EVDO card. The maximum internet speed attainable in your area is fully dependent on the network coverage and network quality. And not all city area are not covered fully with BSNL EVDO network, at least not yet. So, test it before buying and don’t cry later.
And yeah, the BSNL EVDO tariff plans keep changing. I suggest your contact the BSNL helpline directly for the latest tariff plans.

Under this new Passport Sewa E-Governance initiative which is going to be the brain child of external affairs minister S.M. Krishna (a tech savvy minister from Bangalore), 77 hi-tech state-of-the-art IT-enabled Passport Sewa offices are likely to come up across the country soon.
Once these offices are open to public, the long queues in front of the current Indian Passport offices may go away completely out of scene. In the present situation, a person normally has to wait like 3 hours just to get some information on his/her passport. The online passport status inquiry system which is in operation today is also not very reliable as in many cases, they give error message. With the implementation of the new technologies under the new Passport Sewa E-Governance initiative, all this may become history.

What is Bt brinjal?
Bt brinjal is genetically modified variety of brinjal which gives more resistant to Brinjal plant against insects.
In technical terms Bt Brinjal is a transgenic brinjal created by inserting a gene [Cry 1Ac] from the soil bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (and hence the name Bt) into Brinjal. The insertion of the gene into the Brinjal cell in young cotyledons has been done through an Agro bacterium-mediated vector, along with other genes like promoters, markers etc.
This genetic insertion is said to give the Brinjal plant resistance against lepidopteron insects. It is reported that upon ingestion of the Bt toxin by the insect, there would be disruption of digestive processes, ultimately resulting in the death of the insect.
Why BT brinjal in India is banned after bt brinjal controversy?First let us undestand the controversy and why people are opposing it? Several studies on Bt crops in particular and GM crops in general show that there are many potential health hazards in foods bio-engineered in this manner. GM-fed animals in various studies have shown that there are problems with growth, organ development and damage, immune responsiveness and so on.
With Bt crops, a recent study from Madhya Pradesh in India shows adverse human health impacts in farm and factory workers with allergies caused by Bt Cotton. Itching skin, eruptions on the body, swollen faces etc., were also reported, correlated with levels of exposure to Bt Cotton.
Organizations like Greanpeace (photo above) have been in the forefront of the campaign opposing the GM variety of Brinjal.
BT Brinjal in India
Bt Brinjal is being developed in India by M/s Mahyco [Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company]. No GM Brinjal has been released for an advanced stage of field trials in open conditions anywhere in the world.
On February 9, 2010 the government of India officially announced that it needs some more time to release Bt brinjal. Indian Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said that there is no over-riding urgency to introduce Bt Brinjal in India.

Tata Photon Plus Service (Tata Photon Plun Customer Service India): This is quick post on how the Tata Photon Plun Customer Service in India is like. I am not telling it’s like this everywhere in India but here is how my personal experience was today when I went to Tata Indicom main office in Koramangla Bangalore.
I went at around 11am to Tata Indicom main office in Koramangla Bangalore for taking a new Tata Indicom Photon Plus connection. The office was not that crowded so first impression was like “great! seems like it won’t take much time“. I went to a sales executive sitting there and told him that I came for taking a new Photon connection and that I also want to take the HP Laptop Photon Plus offer (I recently bought a HP laptop and they were offering a photon plus with every HP laptop for just Rs.850). The guy asked me if I have brought all the required documents and I said yes and gave him the documents. Then he started chatting with his colleague, started making some “not-so-funny” jokes and laughing. He was not at all concern about me (a customer sitting in front of him). Then he told me “sir, please just two minutes” and went away. Came back after some 5 minutes and started chatting with the other guys (his colleagues) about some something which I thought not at all related to their work at hand.
He then picked up an empty form and gave it to me to sign in some 4 places and fill in a few blanks. Then he again went somewhere. I was getting little bit annoyed and so when he returned back, I asked him how long it’s gonna take and he replied “just 10 minutes sir, the laptop is not free, we need that for the photon activation”. I said ok. But then he call to his next guy and told him to handle this customer (me) because he had to deal with some stuff. He gave my form to that guy and started chatting and laughing with the other colleague. The other guy was typing some stuff on his keyboard and so I waited. He kept on typing for some 3-5 minutes then I got irritated and asked him “who actually is going to handle my form“. He told me like “sir, he (the original guy) will do it, I am generating some invoices“. Then saying that he called the guy loudly and gave the form to him again telling “yaar please, you do it naah“.
It was like that and it was the worst customer service I have seen in Bangalore. Finally I got the photon connection ready at around 2.30pm! Such a waste of time and the guys out there were such waste people who knows nothing about customer service. But the funniest thing was that, all of them had one badge on their shirt where it was printed in bold yellow “CUSTOMER FIRST“. HAHAHA that’s too funny! LOL. Anyway, my cousin is using the Tata Photon plus now (only because they are the only provider of such a service in India right now) but I would never use any product from them again. Not because their product is bad, but because their customer service “sucks”. Period.
