Endhiran (Robot) release date postponed

Sept 18 (FLS): Most awaited movie of the year Endhiran, starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, release has been postponed from September 24 to October 1st, a day before Gandhi Jayanti which is National Holiday.

The official announcement of the release of the movie on 1st October has been made by the Producers Sun Pictures. In the announcement it was also made clear that the movie will release worldwide in 2000 screens in three languages- Endhiran in Tamil and Robot in Hindi and Telugu.

As per report of the sources, the film was censored on September 15 and it got a ‘U’ certificate from the Indian censors.

The movie is considered to be one of the biggest movies in the history of Indian movies. Endhiran is said to be the costliest film (Rs 150 Crore) ever made in the country, has the biggest star in South India Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai and Danny Denzongappa. Directed by ace filmmaker Shankar, the film was earlier expected to be released this month.

The film, which had a mega music launch in Malaysia last month, has music by Oscar winner AR Rahman and Sound by Resul Pookkutty, another Oscar winner. Production Design by Sabu Cyril, the finest in the country and cinematography by Retnavel.

The film will hit the theatres across the world including USA, UK, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia on October 1.

Earlier the movie was expected to be released along with Ranbir- Priyanka Chopra’s Anjaana Anjaani.
