The entire country has startled at the revelation made by CBI in Sohrabuddin’s fake encounter case on Saturday that former Home Minister of Rajasthan Gulab Chand Kataria is allegedly involved in this case as reported by CNN-IBN.

The CBI witness named Azam khan, a close aide of Sohrabuddin who was the cell mate of Tulsiram Prajapati, a witness in Sohrabuddin fake encounter, deposed before CBI on Saturday and revealed that R K Marbles paid Rs 10 crore to former Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria to get Sohrabuddin Sheikh killed.

He asserted that Sohrabuddin, his wife KausarBi and Prajapati were abducted by the team comprising both the Gujarat and Rajasthan police officials on November 23, 2005.

On November 26, Sohrabuddin was murdered in a staged encounter and KausarBi was banished after few days.

Prajapati was also killed in a staged police encounter in December after police announced his arrest from Bhilwara on May 2, 2005.

Now, CBI is directing its probe towards the owners of R K Marble and textile company sangam Group as their names have popped up by Azam Khan.

Speaking to CNN –IBN, Khan claimed that ‘Earlier in 2004, Sohrabuddin had allegedly demanded money from the marble traders as extortion and in order to get rid of him the marble traders met politicians and police. They agreed to pay Rs 10 crore to Kataria for slaying Sohrabuddin’.

Well, CBI is serious about khan’s claim and they are looking forward to scrutinize officials whose name popped up and definitely they are looking for further probe into the matter. However, Kataria has denied all allegations of his involvement in the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and pleaded for his innocence.
