Happy Holi Wishes 2011 from the President

It is the time when the entire country appears colorful covered with gulaal and different colors. On the eve of this Holi, President Pratibha Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari and celebrities of B-town have expressed their sincere best wishes to the nation expressing hope that the festival of colors may fill color to their life and help strengthening the spirit of unity and harmony in the country.

In her message to nation, President Patil said that she was having great pleasure in extending her greetings and good wishes on the occasion of Holi. She also wished that this holi may bring joy and happiness and sense of unity among its citizens.

While speaking to media, Vice President Ansari said that the joyous festival brings the tradition of reinforcing people of varied regions and thus bringing unity amidst diversity.

Along with the political figures, the B-town family has expressed its sincere wish to their fans on the eve of this holi. They have also asked their fans to have safe holi as today many adulterated colors are present in market.

Speaker of Lok Sabha, Meira Kumar also extended her greetings to the people expressed hope that the festival will spread the message of harmony across the country and will strengthen our motto of bringing peace in our nation.

Holi, which celebrates the oncoming of spring and the official end of winter, is celebrated this year on March 19 and 20 i.e. on Saturday and Sunday.
