Heroes Season 5 not coming, says NBC

Heroes created a wave of entertainment amongst the TV audience worldwide when it first created some “ordinary people” with “extra ordinary” abilities. This happened back in September 2006 and the first episode was aired on NBC on September 25th.

The first season of Heroes become one of the most successful series on NBC, with over 14.3 million viewers in the United States alone. The second season did as good as the first and attracted over 13.1 million viewers. Overall Heroes has won many awards including the prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards and the Golden Globes.

Heroes indeed became one of the most favorite series or many science and fiction lovers and the idea of “ordinary people” with “extra ordinary abilities” hiding amongst us, trying not show their real abilities, made many people wonder if the story can really be true. It was this excitement which made Heroes so popular amongst its fans. But slowly, Heroes began to introduce many new so called “ordinary people” in the series. And by the time it reaches season 3, there were so many “heroes” that “Nathan Petrelli” felt the need to bring together all the “ordinary people with extra ordinary abilities”!

The season 3 also started featuring a lot of “time travel” and the whole story line, which was clean and clear in the first and second seasons started becoming more scientific and confusing. It began to lose its hold and the number of viewers across America and across the Globe started decreasing. By time it reaches season 4, many of its hardcore fans started losing interest and a drastic drop was seen in the viewers chart.

Now, NBC thinks it’s time to close it down and stop the confusion hanging around the “ordinary people with extra ordinary abilities”. It officially announced the show’s cancellation on May 14, 2010. However, NBC is considering a wrap-up episode or even a “movie” to feature a proper conclusion to the story. We sure hope that, it will, at least help bring the spirit back.

  I honestly think the tv series was very good not hard to understand and to just leave millions of people hanging now that’s just rood. We need more this is not a show its an addiction that is very to leave behind please make more.

  NBC canceled it because of the high production costs and yes the series may have lost some fans towards the 4th season but it is a great series that makes alot more sense than lost and in my opionion NBC only canceled it because they didnt want to keep spendin money

  I consider that Heros is a great show. I miss the show.
  To stop sudenly the series of this great quality was very rude because it leaves the viewers hanging in there waiting for a conclusion. We need more TV shows like Heroes. I believe that the problem may was that by that time Supernatural and Smallville,were aired at the same time that Heroes was aired and maybe too many shows with similar supernatural activities in the shows was too much for the viewers. I garanty that if Heroes was aired in other time or years than Supernatural and Smallville would of had more success. I personally miss the show and I want to see more. Please bring the show back.

  I just finished watching all four seasons. It’s very addicting, yes I got lost some in the third season but it didnt stop me from watching the fourth. I really really want a fifth season, with the same original ‘specials’. Suresh is kinda boring though. Hiro, Ando, Clare, Sylar (being good), Matt, Bennet, Tracy….are My Hero’s

  I AM MAD! PLEASE WE NEED SEASON 5. I AM THE KIND OF PERSON THAT SPEND MANY HOURS SEEING HEROES. IT CAPTIVATES ME AND MY BROTHERS. IT IS NOT FAIR TO US -FANS TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AFTER CLAIRE HAD SHOWN TO THE WORLD HER ABILITY. WILL BE IT AMAZING OR SCARED TO PEOPLE KNOW THAT THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL POWER?   who said that the rates are down?? i specially take the pain to sit n front of the computer to search wesites that will aloow me to see its videos. i love heroes and now, you are saying that you are gonna stop making it? it is my only past time. in my country there arent many creative and amzaing shows. i dont hve any past timee and if you bloody stop heores. i will never watch any other shows that nbc makes. i will never ever watvh. so you get your sorry ass here and make season 5. it is a request.!

  I think NCB should consider fans’ ideas, i’ve seen some sites were people do an effort do make a final story for them, they are telling them what they like and what they want to see, they actually give good ideas. I only saw now the last season because im not from USA, so I dont have NBC, I only have MOV. I love heroes is the best show i’ve ever seen about people with super powers, others are lame and stupid. please NBC !
