Hollywood James Cameron impressed with Bihar's super 30

14 Dec (FLS): The super 30, which is a free IIT training organization in Bihar impressed Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron who is the maker of big movies like Titanic, Terminator, Aliens and Avatar. The founder of Bihar’s super 30 coaching centre Anand Kumar narrated about his initiatives and organization that helps poor children to reach the prestigious technology institutes of the country.

Kumar while talking to media told that Cameron was amazed to listen about his efforts and was so impressed that he hinted using such stories with people across the world.

The two met at an Innovation and knowledge conference in the hilly city of Lavasa, Maharashtra on Friday in association with Technology, Entertainment, and Design (TED) to promote innovation in diverse fields.

Kumar feeling honoured told media that it was a matter of great pride for him that a teacher like him was given an opportunity to speak before such distinguished personalities.

Revealing some close talks between the duos he said that Cameron was so moved that he promised to visit the city of Patna. He said he narrated some untold stories of young and talented underprivileged students from Bihar and their journey to the IITs. It drew tremendous appreciation from the audience, Kumar added.

When we highlight the success of the coaching institute, in the last three years, all 30 students of Super 30 have made it to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the IITs. Since 2003, 212 students of the institute have made it to the IITs.

The coaching institute was founded by Anand Kumar in the year 2002 which gives full scholarships to every annual batch of 30 students.
