The third match for the Indian cricket team in the Tri-series against Sri Lanka in Dambulla today is not going well for the Indian team as the team has lost its both the openers without business.
Despite of winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Indian team could not capitalize on their starting as the openers flopped on a low score of 26 for 2. Virendra Sehwag was the first to go. He started with his natural flow but was succumbed to the swing of Kulasekhara who got him lbw on a cheap score of 12 runs with two boundaries in his kitty.
India was 20 for 1 in 5.2 overs. It was Rohit Sharma who took the guard from other end. However, Karthik could not stay longer and was caught behind the stumps on the score of 9 runs which he managed in 25 balls. Thus Kulasekhara got the duo in cheap and reduced India to 26 for 2.
Yuvraj Singh who has been brought back in the series with lots of expectation played some dancing shots and tried to share handsome runs with Rohit Sharma. However, Rohit Sharma became the victim of Angela Matthews who got him out by hitting on pads. Rohit Sharma departed when India was on a score of 50.
With three wickets down, India has been brought in back foot position but Raina and Yuvraj are still on the pitch and definitely with these players on, India can still recover. At present, India has scored 56 runs for the loss of three wickets in 15 overs with Dhoni and Jadeja still to come.
