India vs South Africa: South Africa collapses on 131 score

The second day of the India vs South Africa Second Test match at Durban saw the African fall as Zaheer and Harbhajan destroyed the home team and reduced them to a score of 131 for 10 in just 37 overs.

Superb comeback by the Indian bowlers in the India vs South Africa test definitely brought delighting moment for the Indian tent as Zaheer and Harbhajan literally brought the collapse of no. 2 Test team of the world.

Earlier today, Indian batsmen Dhoni and Harbhajan tried to help India reach a respectable total on the pitch having juice but they could add only 22 runs to the overnight score of 183 in nine overs. Harbhajan Singh was the first to go on the bowling of Steyn.

Soon after Harbhajan’s departure, Morkel was quick enough to dismiss Zaheer for a duck. Steyn later went on to claim his six-wicket haul in the match as got rid of Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to put an end to India’s first innings.

However, the visitors came strongly with the ball as Zaheer got an early wicket of Smith. Petersen became the second victim of Khan while Sreesanth departed in form de Villiers.

Harbhajan ran through the middle and lower order for wonderful figures of four for 10 in 7.2 overs. The Indian fielding also rose to the occasion as the visitors took some unbelievable catches to back up their bowlers.

Hashim Amla was the top-scorer for the hosts as he made 33, while Alviro Petersen made 24 but no other batsman managed to cross the 20-run mark.

As a whole, it was a magnificent fight back from India who after being bowled out for 205 in their first innings, bounced back with the ball to grab a vital lead of 74 runs.
