Indian idol 5 winner Sri Ram gets Rs 50 lakhs

This Independence Day brought with itself a new life for a Hyderabad participant Sri Ram who bagged the Indian Idol 5 award in his kitty. Ram was one of the favorite participants of both the critics and the viewers who through his versatile performance had won the heart of almost all who came as the special guest to the show.

With this title, the 24 year old Ram has won for himself a healthy cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs, a one year contract with Sony BMG, a Tata Winger car and a chance to sing a song in a Yash Raj Film’s project. Ram won the title by defeating his close competitors Rakesh Maini and Bhoomi Trivedi.

The grand finale of the Indian Idol season 5 was staged in Filmistan studio and was blessed with the presence of Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan as the chief guest who told about her wife’s anxiety of watching this show. Sri Ram was awarded the title by the actor who later told that his dream came true after receiving the award from such superstar.

Before winning the title of the Indian Idol Sri Ram sung with Shreya Ghosal for a Telugu movie composed by Suleiman-Salim .On being asked about his future plans, Ram told that he would like to be versatile singer and sing for almost all the actor both in Hindi and Telugu. He also thanked his entire supporter all over the country for voting him and keeping him live at every stage.

He also said that all the 13 participants were like his family and it was never meant to him whosoever wins.

  I am happy for Sri Ram That he won the Indian Idol tiltl, at the same time I am little concern about 2 peaple, Rakesh and Bhumi, they never got anything. I feel sorry for them. Atleast they should have got cash. Noone mentioned anything about then, as if they were not there! I thing that is not fare. This is just my opinion. Lets here from other people.

  Hi sreeram, i always wanted u to win as idol 5 and u proved it, but sorry man couldn’t vote u as was busy all the time, and moreover u forgot all judges after winning the indian idol 5, you should have given a personal thanks or should have requested them to come up on stage. after all they wore the 1st step for indian idol 5, still meet them up and give thanks. late but never. meet too from Andhra yaar… once again Congrats

  BRAVO TO THE SOUTHERN SINGER WHO DID A SPLENDID JOB RIGHT THRU THIS COMPETITION.WHAT A PLATFORM TO LAUNCH, PEOPLE WILL NOT ASK SREERAM ,WHO IS HE? FOR THEIR VOTES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.IN HYD THE FILM WORLD WILL DEFINITELY APPROACH HIM WITH RESPECT AND CONTINUE TO BANK ON THE NEW FOUND GLORY.

  Its a great news for real indian Music Lovers.Hearty Congratulations Sriram. Sriram is INDIAN IDOL because of his Talent, Hardwork deep knowledge in karnatik, Classical Western pop and Hindi film sangeet.Modesty, Humulity were his weapons.In true sense he is idol of all five indian idols.Kudos to SONY and ANU Mallik, Sunidhi Chouhan and Salim Merchant to be unbiased, critical and constructve comments, suggestions and guidance.
  Suggestion to SONY please do not neglect south because music has no barrier of language, creed and regions. Music unite us .

  I think he was the most undeserving fellow out of three to become Indian idol, moreover he was a playback singer to start with even before coming to the Indian idol show, he was singing playback songs for regional movies..so was it really right to put him in the competition against the young aspiring singers wanting to be a pop star? Moreover his voice lack lustre, charm, any kind of likability and feeling.

  in my opinion only shri ram bhaiya deserves to become indian idol 5 because he is a unique singer, he is a singer of his own type

  hey shreeram…………..m a bigg fan of mu n frm andhra..n al the best fr ur ffuture…..bt i wazz a bit unhappy fr rakesh n bhoomi as they were nt beeing concerned of u won the title…..they were just kept aside….n u must have thanked the judges who have give u thiz much enchouragement n sugesstions n especially anumallikji as wid out him u mush have nt enterd this satge ……..becz of the north domination…bt u were awsome shree n u alwayzzz rock..m vryy happi that u r alwayzz down tu the earth n dont fell over proud our ur talent….n due tu thiz u have becm more unique…thnku fr that, n once again thanku n wish u all the luck
