IPL New Teams Auction Price Details & New Team List 2011

In the latest IPL 2010 news, new teams list for IPL 2011 will be announced on 21st March. The already existing eight IPL team names are given below:

Current IPL Team Names (Eight):

  1. Royal Challengers Bangalore
  2. Hyderabad Deccan Chargers
  3. Chennai Super Kings
  4. Delhi Daredevils
  5. Kings XI Punjab
  6. Kolkata Knight Riders
  7. Mumbai Indians
  8. Rajasthan Royals

The governing council of the Indian Premier League has agreed to include two more teams for the 2011 IPL Tournament. The auction of these new teams is likely to start very soon.

The minimum bid price for the new teams will be $225m per team. Remember, in 2007 IPL first team auction, the base price was just $50m and Mumbai Indians was sold for just $111.9m in 2008.
