Iraq War Videos got a new name, the "War Porn"

It has been reported that the number of videos featuring gruesome killing of Iraqi soldiers have been increasing on the web. These vides which features both Iraqi soldiers and civilians being killed in brutal manner have been given a new name, the “War Porn” and people are now watching them for entertainment.

As per a report published by Newsweek, these videos features soldiers being killed, grenades being fired, building being destroyed and all these are featured in a very brutal manner. And that these videos are now watched millions of times by the viewers as entertainment.

Commenting on these videos, James Der Derian, professor at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International Studies said, “Unlike the photograph, the moving image creates a feeling that it more accurately depicts what it is representing, whether it does nor not”.

Although these videos are brutal and gross, people are still watching them. Some people believe that this may also have a positive impact as people will start to hate all these war killings and will eventually put an end to it.
