Kashmir: 2 killed, 7 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Oct 11 (IBNS) Two people died and seven others, including a policeman, were injured in separate road accidents across the Kashmir Valley on Monday. A bus, while on way to Srinagar, hit and injured a motorcyclist namely Khurshid Ahmad Bhat. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In another incident, a Tata Sumo car, turned turtle on National Highway near Lethpora at Awantipora, resulting in on spot death of the driver namely Habibullah Bhat and injuries to five passengers. Injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Body handed over to his relatives for last rites.

In a separate incident, a Tipper hit a 13-year-old boy namely Rashid Hamid Ganie at Hamambal, Handwara, resulting in on spot death of said boy.

After completing all legal formalities the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.

In a fourth accident, an Alto car, hit one motorcycle on Boulevard road near Shanker Achariya Crossing, Srinagar falling under the jurisdiction of police post Nehru Park, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist namely Ghulam Mohammad Rather. Injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
