Kolkata: Girl killed in gas cylinder burst

Kolkata, Oct 17(IBNS) A girl was killed and three persons were grievously wounded when a gas filled cylinder exploded in central Kolkata, police said on Sunday.

Police said they were investigating how the cylinder packed with helium gas, used for filling balloons exploded near a pharmacy at the Amherst Street-Keshab Sen Street crossing on Saturday midnight killing the teenaged girl instantly and critically burning three others.

The injured have been admitted to to Nil Ratan Sircar Hospital.
