Lalbaugcha Raja prepares for devotees (2010 Photo, Picture)

Mumbai’s most popular Ganesha idol, Lalbaugcha Raja gears up for the Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi 2010 celebrations. The Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, the organizing committee of the temple is all set to receive the devotees during the festival.

According to sources, the devotees of 2010 will be offered air-conditioned waiting enclosures to turn the darshan a pleasant experience. Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal is known for their innovative ideas to help the devotees every year.

Huge crowd usually gathers each year during the 10-day long Ganesh Mahotsav for the darshan of the Lalbaugcha Raja. Reportedly, over five to six lakhs of devotees visit for the darshan everyday during the Mahotsav, usually forming a queue which goes up to eight kilometers.

Meanwhile, the security arrangement around the Lalbaugcha Raja Temple has also been tightened up with the help of 1500 Mumbai policemen and 5000 private guards of the Mandal.
