Man arrested with Rs.93000 fake notes

Babu Sheikh was arrested by police in Michael Nagar Green Park, Kolkata on Saturday, May 8. He was carrying fake Indian currency of totaling to Rs.93000.

30-years-old Babu Sheikh went up to a grocery store and asked for change of a 500 rupee note. Shopkeeper, Subir Saha gave him the change but later when he saw the note, he realised that the note was fake.

The news spread out in the store locality and Babu was surrounded by local mob and started beating him up for using the fake notes and asked him how he got it. Babu confessed to them that he was carrying fake notes valued thousands. The local mob then handed Babu over to police.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport police interrogated Babu Seikh on how he got the fake currency notes. Babu told them that he got that notes from someone named Rakibul.

Rakibul and Babu were living in Belgharia for the past one year. The headed originally from Murshidabad. Police are now investigating the actual source of these fake currencies and trying to find out where they are actually prepared. The search for Rakibul is also still on.
