Maoists damage police station in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Nov 16 (IBNS) Maoist guerillas detonated bomb in a police station and set ablaze a parked vehicle in Orissa’s Koraput district, police said on Tuesday.

Around 40 armed rebles invaded the police station at Kakiriguma in the twilight hours and blasted the building first before setting afire the police jeep.

There was no casualty in the attack, which targeted to create panic among the security forces, who often launch offensive against the outlaws.

A sentry, who was on duty, fled after noticing the raiders.
