Motorola Defy, a new handset from the house of Motorola Corporation, has been launched in India. The newly launched handset is really a gift from Motorola to gadget lovers as the handset is stunningly advance and laced with several eccentric features.
The newly launched Motorola Defy is fitted with 3.7 inch touchscreen display. Motorola claims that the new handset is dust-proof and water-resistant. The capacitive touchscreen is capable of displaying 480 X 854 pixels resolution.
The newly launched handset has got Android platform and got Android 2.1 Eclair. It has also been expected that the Android 2.1 would soon be upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo.
The Motorola Defy has been powered with 800MHz Texas Instruments OMAP 3610 processor. The mobile handset has got 512 MB RAM, which is pretty good enough to run the applications smoothly, and 2 GB of inbuilt memory, which is further expandable by using microSD card.
The Motorola Defy is fitted with 5 MP cameras with autofocus and LED flash. The camera of the handset is capable of capturing high definition videos (720p HD). Obviously, the handset supports 3G connectivity and also offers Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) along with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. The handset also provides supportability POP3/IMAP and Yahoo Mail along with Exchange 2003 and 2007.
The handset is powered with 1540mAh battery pack, which promises 6.8 hours talk-time and stunning 9.9 days standby time.
The mobile handset is available at mobile outlets at Rs 18,500.
