Mumbai, Oct 13 (IBNS) A Nigerian national, accused of smuggling cocaine to Canada, Australia and some western and Asian countries, has been arrested after the customs sleuths seized some 870 gram drug from his possession.
The drug is worth Rs 4 crore in clandestine market, officials said.
The Nigerian, under 30, was a suspected member of a notorious international gang involved in smuggling contraband drugs to western and Asian countries, Commissioner of Customs, Pune, P Sekar said on Wednesday.
The seizure was made late last week after an agent engaged in courier service, tipped of the Customs officials about the consignments booked by the accused, who was residing in New Delhi.
