Nitish Kumar ready to hold talk with Maoists

Bihar Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar finally, after an important meeting held on Saturday agreed to talk to the Maoists over their recent inhuman acts of abducting four police men from Bihar and killing one of them.

Mr. Chief Minister showed his concern for the kidnapped policemen by saying:”we are ready to allow free passage to those Maoists who come for talks.”

Earlier on Saturday, an all-party meeting was called which was brought into action by the appeal made by the opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to discuss the situation after Maoists killed one of the abducted policemen, Lucas Tete.

As per sources, it has been reported that at the meeting Bihar government decided to ask Maoists to release the three abducted Bihar policemen and also agreed to hold dialogue with the rebels.

After the recovery of the dead body of Lucas Tete on Friday, the atmosphere of Bihar heated up and the State government had asked the Central government to send 4,ooo paramilitary forces to fight the rising rebel upsurge. Moreover, the security of the Chief Minister was also tightened as forces were deployed all over the capital city.

In response to the demands of the State government, Central government has agreed to back up state government for whatever they need to find the solution to combat this grave erupting danger.

Four policemen were abducted by the Maoists after the gun battle which took place in Lakhisarai and lasted for about 6 hours. In this gun battle seven policemen were left dead and 10 were injured and as per sources, it has been claimed that the gunfight was in retaliation for the killing of their leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad.
