Britain’s immigration minister, Damian Green said that there will be no ban on burqa in his country. Recently, France has banned burqa in public, but the British minister says that Britain have no intention following the France way.

Damian Green told The Telegraph that the move to ban burqa would be “un-British”. He said that it would be “undesirable” for the Parliament to vote on a burqa ban in Britain.

In the recent opinion poll that took place, many people have supported the ban of burqa in Britain. But the British minister insisted that telling people what they can and can’t wear, if they are walking on the street, is rather “un-British”. He also told that Britain is a tolerant and mutually respectful society.

He also told that in France, the number of people who wears burqa is less. He also pointed that the French political culture is very different as it is an aggressively secular state. He said that in Britain, they have schools run explicitly by religions.
Recently, the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has told that UK was the most welcoming country for Muslims in Europe.
