An Air blue plane of Pakistan carrying 152 people crashed near hills surrounding Islamabad on Wednesday morning leaving no survivors. There is no clue of the plane crash till now.
Earlier, Imtiaz Elahi, the chairman of the Capital Development Authority, told The Associated Press that about five survivors had been rescued and they had been airlifted immediately to the nearest hospital in Islamabad but two big hospitals have not yet confirmed any survivors present in there.
“The chances of the survivors in the crash are meagre. However, the search process is on progress and till now 90 bodies have collected so far”, said senior Pakistan police officials.
Air blue was a private airline aircraft which was flying from Karachi to Islamabad on a scheduled two hour run .It took off from Karachi airport at around 7:45 am and tried to make contact with the Islamabad airport before landing in overcast conditions prevailing there. However, soon their contact with the airport lost and the plane was found crashed which is supposed to have hit Margalla Hills near the Daman–e-Koh viewpoint.
“The plane was showing erratic motion in sky .It was having unbalanced flight and suddenly, it went down hitting the forest creating an inferno” said a localite near the accident spot who was on outing to these hills at the time of incident.
The search operation is hampered by heavy rainfall .The muddy conditions have added to the misery of the rescue team as they are finding difficult in searching survivors. Seeing the wreckage of the plane it can be made out that collision took place when plane was in high momentum.
A havoc scene was created on Islamabad airport on listening to this news. People swarmed aggressively the ticket and enquiry counter to get the latest updates.
