Actress Model, Veena Malik, ex girlfriend of fast bowler Mohammed Asif is all set to bring down his boyfriend who has been alleged for the spot fixing event that took place in the fourth and last Test match played at Lord’s last week. The ICC’s Anti-corruption unit have received the proof of alleged links of Asif with Indian bookies from the Pakistani model.
On Wednesday, Malik met Hasan Raza, who is a top official of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit for South Asia, in Lahore and told that to prove that Asif was involved in this match fixing scandal, she had enough proofs. She also told that from head to toe the entire Pakistan team and officials are involved in match fixing and this is not the new thing that we have come to hear.
Malik also spoke to the news channel and told that she had handed over Asif’s voice recordings with the bookie and some other evidences to the ICC official.
It is alleged the three Pakistani players took cash as part of a betting scam in which Aamer and Asif bowled three no-balls at predetermined times. This spot-fixing scandal was exposed by a British tabloid ‘News of the world’ that performed a sting operation and caught a bookie Mazhar Majeed for his involvement in match fixing.
As per latest updates, Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed confirmed that the tainted players will not play further in the coming ODI and T20 series in England.
However, three alleged team members have pleaded for their innocence and told that they would not run away until they get their name clear. They mentioned that they are entirely innocent in the whole episode and shall defend their innocence as such.
