PNR Status Enquiry @ Indian Raliways & IRCTC

PNR status stands for Passenger Name Records. It is allotted to passenger while booking the railway ticket. It is a ten digit number. If your ticket is in “wait listed” status, then you can check the status of your ticket through internet by visiting the website of the Indian Railways. You just need to enter the PNR no. of your Ticket and you will find the current status.

IRCTC offers i-tickets that are basically like regular tickets except that they are booked online and delivered by post. They also offer e-tickets which you can carry as print out while traveling.

In order to book tickets online or check the PNR status on IRCTC website, you need to log in with your account or create an account on their website.

Sometimes it may happen that the IRCTC website may take too long time to load or open the ticket status page. In that case, you may also use MakeMyTrip.com or ClearTrip.com Railway Ticket Booking facilities.

    i booked a ticket from a travel agent from rajamundry to sec
    and the wl is 11 i took the trian at tp gudem when i got into the train the tc and as well as the squad told me that in the waiting list your name is not conformed if your name is not conformed in the waiting list your ticket will be automatically cacelled and the money will be refunded so this is ticket is not valid you r not supposed to tavel in the general compartment also with this ticket this is just a white paper nothing more than that this is invalid and they asked to get down from the train in the next station and there is no time for me to go to the enquiry to get a general ticket and i requested them alot i am travelling alone female they didnt even consider that and they told if you dont get down from the train in the next station that will be a big crime you need to pay some money to the government and the stuff and i got down from the train in vijayawada and i took apsrtc bus at that time its raining its a horrible experience and journey in my life after coming to hyd the travel agent called me and he is saying that your name is conformed you got a berth in the train and i explianed the thing what happened exactly but they are saying it will never happen like that you would have got atleast a seat to sit in ac how can they ask you to get down from the train how the ticket is invalid we wont agree with this as a travel agents we never face this kind of problem and now what the thig is i just want to know what is the wrong thing and who are wrong like the tc gave my berth to some other person for more money or the travel agents are saying wrong i could not able to understand whats wrong is ?i just want to check with all these whose mistake is that ? indian railways mistake ?tc’s mistake ?travel agent mistake? what i have to do now ? i just want to check with each and everything even with the tc who is responsible for this
