Rahul's journey by train upsets UP police

Lucknow, Oct 29 (IBNS) Trust Rahul Gandhi’s unpredictable ways to create controversy over his security and cause nightmare for the police authorities.

Known for breaching security in the public rallies to mingle with the crowd, Rahul Gandhi recently took a train journey with the hoi polloi in a sleeper class from Gorakhpur to Mumbai, with the media and Uttar Pradesh police completely in the dark.

The Uttar Pradesh Police are the ones not too pleased with the Congress poster boy’s latest action about ten days ago, the footage of which are now available.

“We were not informed about his travels. Generally we are informed for security, but in this case we had no information at all,” said Brijlal, ADG, Law and Order, Uttar Pradesh.

Gandhi wanted to know the problems of the common people and hence took the journey, but the Uttar Pradesh authorities are clearly not amused.

The Congress general secretary reached Gorakhpur by plane Bihar and then took the 36-hour train journey by 2451 Gorakhpur- Lokmanya Tilak superfast express to reach Mumbai, media report said.

Gandhi, reports said, wanted to feel the problems of the migrants and the youth who leave for Mumbai for a better life from other cities and villages of India.

Rahul reached Mumbai on Oct 20, reports said.
