Rajapaksa to be chief guest at CWG closer

New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games Thursday, according to official sources.

Rajapaksa will be here for a day and return to Colombo Oct 15, the sources said.

His visit will be preceded by that of Sri Lankan Foreign Minister G.L Peiris, who will arrive here Oct 12 and hold talks with External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna.

Peiris will also deliver the R.K. Mishra Memorial Lecture on “Growth, Equity and Security: Constitutional Imperatives for South Asia” at Teen Murti House Oct 15.
