Mumbai, Nov 17 (IBNS) A senior Mumbai police officer and encounter specialist Arun Borude was on Wednesday dismissed from service after being accused in rape case of a minor. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjiv Dayal, announcing Borude’s dismissal, said he the senior officer was being dismissed on grounds of immoral conduct and added that ‘his name figured in the Powai rape case and we have evidence against him’.

Dayal said Mumbai Police was ‘shamed by this incident’.

There are two cases against Borude – the rape case and one of trespassing into a flat sealed by a court.

The dismissed cop is on sick leave.

Borude is facing enquiry in a rape case of a 15-year-old girl, who gave birth to a premature child some months back.

A pimp, Shantabai Rajaram Gaikwad, was arrested on basis of the statement of the victim and the pimp had led police to Borude.

The pimp told during interrogation that Borude was one of the people who had sex with the minor.

The girl was allegedly raped in a flat.

Two real estate agents were arrested in the case on Tuesday.

The rape case had come to light in October after the victim’s family filed a police case following the premature delivery of the baby.
